We are delighted to have supported with funding a dedicated End-of-Life Specialist Nurse, enhancing the Trust's commitment to compassionate care for patients, families and staff 🤍 The End-of-Life Specialist Nurse role will allow The Robert Jones and Agnes Hunt Orthopaedic Hospital NHS Foundation Trust to expand its palliative care provision. We had a very special visitor join us this week! 🎅 A huge thanks to the lovely team at RAF Shawbury for bringing Father Christmas to us for the afternoon 🎄✨ During the visit we managed to spread some festive cheer over in Alice Ward and at Peter Pan Nursery, before a final visit to the Veterans' Orthopaedic Service, in support of them choosing the Centre as one of their charities for the year! 💜

A huge congratulations to everyone who took on yesterday’s Chirk 10k - a hilly route in a heatwave was no mean feat! 💪 You should all be incredibly proud of your achievement! It was an amazing effort in such challenging conditions - we’re so grateful to every Team RJAH runner for the support. 4 days to go until the Adrenaline Sporting Events Chirk 10k 🏃♀️ Today we're hearing from our our RJAH Charity duo - Heather and Victoria! ⭐ Heather said: "This 10k is definitely outside my comfort zone, but I’m proud to be taking it on with a great colleague and for a great cause. The work our charity supports makes a real difference and that’s what will keep us going on the day." Victoria said: "I'm not a runner - I’m more of a brisk walker in heels than a jogger in trainers! But on Sunday, Heather and I are taking on a 10k for our brilliant hospital charity. It’ll be tough (send plasters!) but we’re doing it for a cause we care about.
